For all you Moby Dick fans, this is an engaging trace of the most hazardous industry our country has ever produced. If you've ever wondered "how did they do that?", this book is for you. Yes, sperm whales DID ram and sink whaling ships and the "iron men in wooden boats" who went down to the sea to do battle with the leviathans are interestingly described. If you're a member of PETA, don't read this book. Others, I believe, will enjoy it.

Pete Connolly Publishes a Winner

One of my old journalism buddies, Pete Connolly, has penned a winner--When Shadows Fell at Notre Dame.

Senior alumni will get a kick out of reliving the "old days," but Pete has included things we didn't deal with--sex and murder!

"Shadows" is a great read. I couldn't put it down and finished it in two nights. I bet you will do likewise. See if you can figure out the people in the story. Some are real; some are fictional.

Wives, this would be a great Christmas present for your ND grouch!

The book is available through all the major booksellers and Amazon, but Pete is offering his ND friends a special deal for just $12.95, which includes shipping. E-mail Pete at ptrcon@fidnet.com for details.
